Drop it & Be Happy

In life there are moments that define who we are and what we do, but at the end of the day we need to remember that the past is the past and holding onto it is not going to help us. Yes, the past makes us who we are and the history of our lives and the lives of others helps change the future, but we can not continue to hold onto the past. In today’s Youtube video we talked about a motivational monkey that taught us that sometimes we needed to remove the things that are holding us back.

If you are ready to move on and achieve greatness you are going to have to stop what you are doing and think long and hard about what you need to remove from your life. Here are three things that we recommend you remove from your life in order to move forward and accomplish your goals.

  1. The memories of the past and feelings of the past. This is one that is going to cause people to develop an anger for me, but the truth of the matter is that the memories of the past are holding you back. I’m not saying removing them forever or remove them in their entirety, but what I am saying is that you need to push them aside. People are not the same as they once where, and things that you used to do have changed. Things that once meant something to you no longer mean anything to anyone else, and the only way you are going to move forward is if you realize that things are constantly changing. Don’t remove the happy memories, but learn to understand that in order to succeed, sometimes you have to let the past stay in the past and focus on your future.
  2. The toxic friends. A few weeks back one of our first videos on YouTube was removing the toxic people in your life, and we never addressed it here on our site. You need to understand that some people are only after helping themselves and those are the people that must be remove in life. Instead of just sitting around and continuing to allow people to exist in your life that don’t want to help and push you forward and instead just focus on themselves, drop them. Life is filled with people and many people will love you, support you, and be there for you without them needing to suck the life out of you. Many people are going to hold you back by wanting their problems to be your problems, and you just don’t need that. Remove the toxic friends in order to push yourself forward, and live a happier and healthier life.
  3. Let go of things that make you money, but don’t make you happy. This is a tough one to even start to think about, but sometimes you need to cut the cord in order to be happy. Sometimes the job you are in is not working for you, and other times the job you love doesn’t make a lot of money. In the end, you should never do things that make you unhappy because those are the things that are holding you back. You have one life there is no justification for spending any second of it actually doing things that you are not completely in love with. Instead drop the things that make you unhappy and no matter what you love go do that. The best part about being understanding yourself is understanding what makes you happy, and once you understand what you love find a way to make money off of it.

Overall these are the three things that are holding you back in life. Instead of doing things that you hate, living in the past, and having toxic friends drop all of them and live happier. If you are going to be successful in life you’re going to need to take out the trash and start doing things that make you happy. Don’t ever do or hold onto things that don’t work for you!
